I hate this idea people have that if a parent walks in and turns off the tv while their kids are watching or playing something it’s evidence of some unhealthy attachment or addiction to technology if they get pissed off. If you walk up and slap a book out of my hand while I’m reading I’m going to have the same reaction, fuck off you’re not making some great social commentary you’re just being an ass hole.

Shit we out there just makin up our own booze. Fermented Borovan that’s kinda like kombucha but nasty is a great way to just get a little tipsy. But like go to the potato counting guy and just kinda stare at him for a moment. As him really hard where he keeps the GOOD potatoes. He’ll pull out a small hip flask and tell you it’s the only way he deals with the endless stream of dumbasses who come and guess 2 potatoes and then get mad when they’re wrong.
Each specific kingdome/location has their own specialty. Krawk island has grog that will put wind in your sails, Meridell and Brightvale have fine mead but each one of them INSISTS that their mead is better than the other kingdoms. Eventually they have a mead off and everybody gets too drunk to give a shit.
Faerie land has a very sweet type of cider. It’s bubbly and gets you drunk fast but they never call it that. They call it something stupid like sugared faerie bubble brew, it’s bright pink and nobody knows how the fuck it gets its colour.
The haunted woods and neovia make a spiced ale from apples and pumpkins and it’s really more of a non-alcoholic cider but it’s damn good with a spooky donut and can be served hot or cold.
Central has an underground craft brew scene and they come up with wild flavors and compete for which brewery is the best. They’ve been rousted more than once by the security chia who blows his whistle and tells them to stop what they’re doing but they always manage to come back and find a new way of peddling their wares again. You can’t ban good beer, it’s just impossible.
The Extra Room of Mario Party 4 contains a single-player minigame called “Doors of Doom”. It consists entirely out of choosing one of two doors; each one either lets Mario through to the next room, awarding him a point, or opens to reveal Bowser, which ends the game.
The minigame is actually completely rigged from the start. The game determines how many points the player is allowed to receive and the result will be the same no matter which doors are chosen.
In the above footage, the game has decided that Mario should lose after getting 1 point. In the second room, both doors open to reveal Bowser. This can be tested by using an emulator and saving a snapshot of the game. No matter how many times the savestate is reloaded, what frames the inputs are made on, and what doors are chosen, Bowser will always appear after the predetermined allowed number of points. i just had the funniest experience in vr chat, i joined a random server and the one i joined had Japanese people so i waddled around in my goofy club penguin avatar that i have saved, after a while a guy walks up to me and clones my avatar so were both penguins then another guy shows up and clone my avatar
now keep in mind there only speaking Japanese i don’t know what they are saying, then another guy joins in, so i got a group of three penguin friends
we just waddle around and goof about, the one of them tries to talk to me, but not only do i not have a mic i also don’t speak Japanese, they figure out i don’t speak Japanese and start listing various places, they get the part of being European right, and after listing a lot of places they ask if im from the UK and when i nod they all just start cheering. after hanging out for a while one of them gets real close to me and whispers…
my friend who is training to be a 911 operator just told me that they are having to restrain themself whenever responding to training calls from saying “that’s illegal people can’t do that” and I find that so fucking funny
